Escape the desert heat and head on over to the Chillout Lounge, the Middle East's first ice lounge, home to ice sculptures, ice-seating, and sub-zero temperatures! Upon arrival, you will be handed thermal clothing to keep you warm. Put on your thermal wear: a hooded parka, woolen gloves, shoes and socks, gloves, and a hat. Let your body adjust to the low temperature (it'll go down to 5 degrees Celsius) as you spend a few minutes in the buffer zone area which gives the body time to adjust to the low temperature (-6 degree) in the dining area.

During your 1-hour visit, marvel at the innovative use of refrigeration, lighting, and architecture. If you think about it, Chillout Lounge is a captivating blend of ice, glass, and steel - an architectural marvel in itself. Notice how the diffused lighting changes colors and seeps out through crystal-clear blocks of ice. This process ends up creating hues of mesmerizing patterns. Your welcome will also include a drink (piping hot chocolate or tea) and delicious chicken BBQ skewers or desserts. The lounge serves hot soups, barbecues, sandwiches, juices, hot chocolates, cappuccino, tea, apart from a variety of desserts & mocktails making it the first of its kind in the world to serve hot food & beverage.

Getting There:

By Metro:

• The closest metro station is Equiti Metro Station. It is a 5-minute taxi ride to the attraction. Board line MRed to get here.

By Bus:

• The closest bus stop is Al Quoz, Nabooda Cars 1, Al Quoz 3 bus stop. It is an 8-minute walk to the attraction.

• Board buses 12 or F26 to get here.

• It is recommended that you do not take infants below 1 year of age inside the lounge (although this is at the parent's discretion).

• Children must always be accompanied by an Adult or a Guardian during the tour or attraction visit.

• Thermal clothing will be provided for all guests. It is recommended that you wear clothing covering your legs as thermal trousers are not provided. The lounge also has a buffer zone where guests are advised to spend 2-3 minutes acclimatizing their bodies to the sub-zero temperature inside the lounge.
